@peetky8645 The Court ruled that it is not a constitutional issue, but as it stands, a matter for the states. The Court did not rule that Congress cannot pass a law regulating abortion. That wasn't an issue in the case.

When we add it all up, Trump did a dreadful job during COVID. His narcissism and abject laziness were what defeated him. Joe didn't.

Trump wasn't a disaster during COVID, no.

When I lived in France, the limit was at late embryo for purely elective abortion. I am no longer sure if that was 10 weeks. The three-doctor panels were willing to consider many things, including mental illness, as reasons for a medically necessary abortion after that. It was a process that required counseling and signing an affidavit. The government paid 70% for elective abortions, 100% for pregnancy. "The French Republic does not believe in abortion solely for financial reasons," or something to that effect, was in the packet of information given to the "mother in distress." (That's what a woman seeking an abortion was called.) The government was socialist at the time, and a few communists were in it as minor ministers, too. 1980s. I think any liberalization made it worse. CHOOSE life -- emphasis on choose.

Small problem: people are paid to lie, misrepresent, and mislead. This has been the case at least since Clinton became president and people like Bill Gates became billionaires. Telling the truth doesn't sell books --- or anything else.

@andyarellanoChannel Meaningless recommendation. Tells you nothing -- either way -- about whether the book is truthful.

@markdelacruz1322 You seem to be sure she is a "long-tenured, well-respected, and seasoned, and credentialed journalist." What does that possibly prove, or make more likely than not? This tells me she has connections. It tells me zero about her veracity. Being a number one best seller means the author made money. It means nothing more, and certainly nothing about what's between the covers except that it appeals to enough people that they buy it. (McDo's is the world's most successful franchise. I guess the food is wonderful.) When I knew something about a court case, the newspaper report was always wrong in some serious way. The only exception was Supreme Court reporting, which was so-so, but sometimes maddeningly misleading about fundamental rights.
