@BillMcGirr My teachers? I was alive during that time, and lived abroad for part of it. (The perspective of distance, as they say.) Reagan was the first clearly incompetent president of the post-WWI era.

Not fair to Rossevelt.

I always believed Reagan that he had no idea. The look in his eyes spoke volumes.

@BillMcGirr No one mentioned Obama. Oh, except you. I've never voted for a ticket with warmonger Biden on it.

@BillMcGirr Amazon Prime has higher margins than Reagan. So do Facebook and Twitter. McDonald's, Walmart . . . James Stewart had higher margins than Reagan. Brad Pitt.

@BillMcGirr He wasn't really President, except as a figurehead and spokesmodel. Volcker and the elder Bush, with others, were running the country. Reagan supplied all the necessary tropes, deflecting the scrutiny away from the real players. When Reagan said he knew nothing about the Iran-Contra scheme, which was wildly illegal, I never understood why people didn't believe him. I believed him.

@BillMcGirr Or do you mean The Bankruptcy King? The guy who "owed" Twitter? That one?

Shocking how right you are.

Oh come on, Biden doesn't call it that. /s

@BillMcGirr ANY post-WWII President who served in the military and had either a law degree or an engineering degree was objectively more competent than any who did not have those two qualifications. That does not make him great, or good; it makes him competent. It's called the real world. Most of humanity lives there. You should check it out.

@BillMcGirr Didn't expect you to get the point.
