  2.  @simplyme7405  All of your points are great. This was a grave situation, no matter what anyone believes about the legality of abortion. There's also the reality of a fetus close to viability. The girl is a minor. We don't know whether she was of age to consent when this started, if she consented, or if she was so emotionally disturbed that she hid her pregnancy for nearly six months. There are countries where elective abortion at this stage is never legal, but a panel of doctors would look closely, and might approve this one as being justified. No one wants minor girls to be treated as vessels. Well, no one decent anyway.

  9.  @KMC597  Was she age of consent when she got pregnant? Too immature to tell right away and abort an embryo? She might be underage in my state, depending on when her birthday is. New York also. California, underage for sure. This would be viewed differently depending on where in the country it happened.
