In spite of Columbine, Sandy Hook, and Stoneman Douglas, the Wisconsin Legislature was incapable of drafting and passing a constitutional gun law to enable the DA to prosecute Kyle Rittenhouse on the one charge that had a rock-solid basis. @utah_koidragon7117 No, the law exists but was badly drafted. It is a due process requirement that ambiguity must be resolved in favor of the defense. So it was.

@RationalGaze216 Rittenhouse was a minor brandishing a weapon without an adult supervising him, not in a hunting area but in an urban area, and during a curfew. When minors participate in hunting, it's not like that. I don't disagree about the rest. I don't think he should have been charged as an adult in any case.

@RationalGaze216 The gun charge WAS thrown out. If you are allowed to read the whole thread, that is explained. The law was badly drafted.
