@dlg5485 The "this" refers not to legitimate challenges, but spreading outrage, innuendo, and anything else that attracts attention or pushes up ratings, whether it have any basis in fact or not, and no matter how bitterly divisive it might turn out to be. Cha-ching. Bovard and of course Krystal Ball both did a superb job on this segment.

@wesleystreet Exactly. Would the average person know whether they are resisting arrest or resisting a gang banger? This has become a problem.

@dlg5485 Actually, I don't agree. To prosecute wrongdoing effectively, which includes tainted elections, a very cool head and demeanor are essential. Outrage is a show, to grab eyeballs. It is pure manipulation. See Matt Taibbi, "Hate, Inc."

No. Krystal said we should not have accepted the result because the election count itself was not legitimate. Not only that, but accepting a tainted result did nothing toward the supposedly "larger goals" of building consensus and ensuring civil peace. It led to a disaster.
