  10. I have two questions: Is selling naked shorts still illegal? Do the hedge funds do it anyway? Some way they can structure it to avoid detection, penalties, etc.? Because that stuff is very dangerous. The shortsellers end up shorting "hypothetical" shares they didn't really borrow, and that no one could loan them. It's a way of counterfeiting shares, functionally.
