We already HAVE pervasive and ubiquitous mass surveillance. So, what happened? Don't tell me we need more laws and more surveillance. Someone may need to surveil the surveillers.

Have any of the wars we are prosecuting been declared? Is any war taking place on our territory? If not, I don't support execution for treason. I generally don't support the death penalty.

@johnwhite2412 Good luck proving all that beyond reasonable doubt, for "all those involved." How many had any firearms or other weapons on their person? How many knew, and coordinated with, those few who did?

That may be true, and not unusual. But read up on what happened in Kenosha, and on gang infiltration, including KKK infiltration, of police departments. In any case, defense of property and defense of occupied structures have different rules, as do attempts to intimidate legislators, courts, etc., while in session. It's one thing stand back to refrain from killing a looter, it's another to allow insurrectionists free rein because you agree with them.

@Jivansings You're very welcome. I appreciate that the looting of an underinsured business is the end of someone's livelihood. Police infiltration by gangs has become a growing problem across the country.

@Jivansings I hope I was clear. Gangs have joined police, not unlike the way organized crime once had supporters in the local police force, and major drug trafficking rings did as well.
