  5. I just had an experience at the endodontist. They gave me a lot of epinephrine, and I'm not supposed to have that. Well, my heart raced and thumped hard, and I couldn't talk myself down, like I usually can. No traction. We waited ten minutes, then proceeded with the root canal when I could finally take it. Most people would have panicked and rushed to the ER. For me, this is an example of what I could NOT control. I could NOT control my racing, thumping heart. Not what I could control -- what I could not. I found out Monday after talking to my doctor, then calling back to the endodontist and confirming he did use epinephrine. I was mad. I'm still a bit miffed. I can't control that, either. NOR SHOULD I. Reality is first of all material. Get a clue.
