@charlesprice7608 What do you mean by "four years of constitutional law?" I know of no law program, JD or LLM, that offers "four years of constitutional law." I was a federal appellate clerk. I do know what I'm talking about.
1
@charlesprice7608 We are both being scents erred here, btw.
1
@Jeffski82 When we tell someone that they or we are subject to sense r sheep, that goes poof as well.
1
@MisguidedLogic America has no left, extreme or otherwise. This is a nonsense narrative. Show me a trans Black Panther . . .
1
You must not be an Adam Curtis fan. 😁
1
@weirdshibainu It's a hard call. I tend to think the truth leans slightly toward your side.
1
So . . . Trump really did badly, huh? I didn't watch. I tried a few times. I couldn't. I couldn't last 7 seconds.
1
False. American Department of Defense dollars funded them. The Soviet Union fell in 1991, over 30 years ago. The US Embassy website still has some information, though the links are no longer active.
1
Vive la difference!

The excitement comes from the latest device from $ilicon Valley.
1
Takes cringe to a new, previously unknown level.
1
@TedaR She has an awfully cushy job.
1
This was what all US Democrats promised -- before the 2020 election.
1
Coming here, I did not expect to laugh.
1
Thomas Paine would disagree.
1
@YamiFlyZX Not clear what you mean. MSM says Russia invaded Ukraine because Putin is mad and evil.
1
@YamiFlyZX I see. That's funny. The Internecine War is how they all make money. We are in a time when harm makes money. It was a hoot to see Whoopie double down on censorship, though, after her time out. And it's true these accusations of treason by serious people are relatively new. There were a few times during 2020 that I thought Tucker should be fired on the spot, but I didn't catch his usual nonsense here. The Hill Rising had a good segment yesterday with Glenn Greenwald. I haven't seen any followup yet, I was planning to go watch them. Aaron Mate reports that his sources in Russia are telling him there is growing anti-war sentiment there. We are fomenting xenophobia instead, hardly a formula for peace. It's so odd. If Victoria Nuland told the truth about the "danger Russia will gain control" of these microbes, in our Department of Defense-funded biolabs, why are WE not demanding inspectors and threatening war, like we did in Iraq? Based on our actions in Iraq, it would stand to reason that we should be the party pushing for inspections. Look what we're hearing instead.
1
Oh please is this a set up?
1
Because this time, it is the dollar as global reserve currency that is vulnerable. That's why.
1
More than a handful this time.
1
@fredogee8108 No they didn't, except figuratively.

@fenix6297 1) I didn't say you did. You said the OP's post referred to "Wall Street firms not hiring pro-Hamas grads." Hence I posed a well-founded question, based on your post. I didn't assume YOU thought the students' statement was indeed "pro-Hamas." I don't know your thoughts. 2) My comment about consequences was addressed to the OP. Your remarks to me are all non sequiturs. OP appears not to know that speech on political matters is indeed free of plenty of "consequences." That's the whole point of freedom of speech and expression. And if OP is just trotting out mindless slogans, why do you think he knows to make fine distinctions? Also, and this is addressed to you, none of these principles are "tidbits." I think I made a good recommendation to OP to wrap his head around some serious grappling with free speech, for a general perspective. I think everyone should read that case -- especially the concurrence. The fact that it deals with criminal law is important for the holding, of course, but the wider context is important as well. Valuing free speech as an integral part of our culture is crucial to its continued existence. In fact, that's exactly what Greenwald discussed in a serious way tonight. This show is just taking people down the wrong road . . . again. And making money doing it. But they call on someone else not to have a job. Risible!
1
@fenix6297 You seem not to know what assumptions are, as distinguished from, say, questions. Does that work out for you? 😂
1
@fenix6297 You're right, I do not suffer from self-loathing. I lived in Paris long enough to be definitively cured of that.
1
@veritas220 Nope, Paris IV
1
@davemarolda5612 It also doesn't mean you can coerce a college to publish lists of members in student organizations. Remember when some of the really prestigious ones were secret? Skull and Bones rings a bell?
1
"Look over there, a Hamas squirrel!"
1
Don't believe this report. They aren't telling you the truth.
1
How would you know?
1
@Astro1645 You will make an excuse for anything. Why?
1
Came here from Stephen F. Cohen's presentation at the 92nd Street Y in New York from a couple of years ago. People have got to see that.
1
If an employee can get more money and better working conditions, what is wrong with that?
1
3:12 Just get mad and stay mad, cover all your bases, never end up the last to know?
1
I had to think about this for ten whole minutes before it dawned on me that a trans man might still be able to get pregnant. This new language is more sinister than it looks: they are pretending these gender dysphoria treatments can't render girls sterile. Yes they can.
1
Starting to bug me. I love salads.
1
No, that's not the reason.
1
@gregorysagegreene happy for you!!
1
I know. After all, who needs court? Remember Uvalde, when the police said a teacher propped open the door? Remember when police decided Gabby Petito was the primary aggressor in her relationship with Brian Laundrie? I always believe the police, honest. Trials are for sissies.
1
At the major hospital in my city, it's been "pregnant people" for a couple of years now. Since it's not a veterinarian's office, I had assumed people.
1
Dupe
1
@crewchief5144 Well that was lucid.
1
@crewchief5144 Well you're as quick to get rid of the First Amendment as a typical wokester or vaccine mandate promoter. And why? Because Americans -- rightly OR wrongly -- criticized a foreign government. When does this stop? Meanwhile in Israel, Haaretz has denounced Netanyahu, and this weekend, there are calls -- in Israel -- for him to resign. Are they still allowed to speak their minds?
1
@crewchief5144 Never heard of such a thing. Need to know basis?
1
@crewchief5144 Last I heard, Americans can criticize any country. Some reason to amend the Constitution? No?
1
@crewchief5144 I don't listen to that thing. No wonder I had no idea.
1
Watch the recent podcast with one of these types of people and Glenn Greenwald. Not to be missed.
1
P. S. You'll enjoy it.
1
@DietersYT Glenn Greenwald, System Update, Answers His Critics' Call to Engage. I hope he will continue in this vein and invite sharper critics next time. He has been on Briahna Joy Gray's Bad Faith podcast. She's incredible.

The remedy for speech you don't like is MORE speech. Big Tech is allowed to add a "warning" message on any video they disagree with, for any reason. If they can identify "problematic" videos or other materials that they think should be censored, then they can just add a disclaimer instead. More speech, not censorship. Big Tech can certainly afford it.
1
Intent isn't supported by evidence. It's the recklessness charges that matter.
