@mikeedwards1978 When all the top newscasters on Fox start sending their kids to trade school, get back to me. Sheesh, you don't see through it, do you?
1
@dibari22 I have more respect for the plumbers and electricians I know than for most college grads, BY FAR, but all I can say is be cautious in believing these stories, or trusting the messengers. See through them. Their kids are going to law school, or for MBAs, or journalism, or film school, or pharmacy, or clinical psychology. The trades are very hard work and often require people to retire earlier than they'd like. There is little to prevent a lawyer or a psychologist from practicing into his 70s if he wants to. The next generation may need to count on working into their late 60s, whether they want to or not.
1
@dibari22 Suspect every report of this nature to be a competitive move, not a sincere statement of viewpoint. I wish I had done that more often.

We think about Facebook, Twitter, and Google. You can eat them, wear them, and they can heat and cool your house.
1
@enufots4621 Well, first read their statement and compare it to the Haaretz editorial. The students' statement blames Israel for the attack, whereas the Haaretz editorial states that Netanyahu bears most of the blame. I don't agree with the students' statement, and I do not know whether any of them privately support Hamas, but I see no way to read their statement as supporting Hamas. Literally not at all. Glenn Greenwald analyzed the logic as being "either you are for us, or you are against us," comparing it to the rhetoric that got us into Afghanistan and Iraq for a generation. His programs this week were tremendous.
1
How many people denouncing the students have read the statement?
1
@BillyColeII-dr6dk So, don't bother to read it. I told another poster, they were doxxed and got threats.
1
@BillyColeII-dr6dk Maybe the next time there is a vaccine mandate, you should be threatened if you object?
1
@BillyColeII-dr6dk I already answered this for you in another thread. Do you have the memory of Hunter, or Joe? 😂
1
Great news!! The major donor to the Harvard Kennedy School of Government, Leslie Wexner, has severed all ties!! You remember Wexner? Jeffrey Epstein was his protégé.
1
UH OH Botox Shortage! 🤣🤣🤣 No wonder they're furious.
1
@arthurbrumagem3844 How would you know? Fox told you? CNN? MSNBC? Who patted you on the head for repeating it rather than realizing you don't know?
1
@kevind1650 A lot of people claim that is exactly what Palestinians face. A lot of those people are Jewish and live in Israel.
1
@arthurbrumagem3844 What knowledge do you imagine you have? Remember that documentary from the Vietnam War, where some Secretary of Defense is intoning, "they don't value life like we do," while an elderly Vietnamese woman is wracked with sobs and trying to get into the grave with her deceased family member? I just remembered that image, I wonder why.
1
@arthurbrumagem3844 You don't even have evidence, apart from your fee fees about what's "most likely."
1
Well, as it turns out, we still don't know who was responsible for the hospital bombing. Do you think any of these will apologize for their commentary?
1
@floydholder597 This is so convoluted; the MSM certainly did not properly verify the story before reporting it. This is true. Nor does Gutfeld know who is responsible for the strike in the hospital courtyard because NO ONE KNOWS -- MSM, this crowd, etc. -- except the actual perpetrators. So Gutfeld is claiming to know what he doesn't know, and people who prefer his story, for whatever reason, are basking in it. We have better evidence of the lab leak hypothesis for the pandemic origin. Much better.
1
@floydholder597 And who bombed the Orthodox church?
1
@stevenrichards3699 She never claimed to be anything but on the left. Every veteran I know agrees with most of what Gabbard says. Reagan, on the other hand, never saw combat in a uniform, except on a movie set. Does that impress you?
1
@Joseph-ro6wq You think a test is more probative than examining the person's reasoning and discourse? Whether or not a person is "working in the field of their degrees" proves nothing either way. If they are, they are probably deepening their knowledge and expertise. If they are not, they are demonstrating flexibility, broad pattern recognition, and abstract thinking.
1
@zealanddublin9047 Ha ha. Then explain the Trump voters.
1
@stevenrichards3699 I'm not a conservative. I'm a Parisian Maoist.
1
@stevenrichards3699 Who said I agreed with everything she says? I don't even agree with everything Yanis Varoufakis says. Or J-L Melenchon.
1
@keymaster430 And half the posts here are as "psycho" as she was. If she retaliates against students in any manner who disagree with her, with lowered grades or in any other way, or if she did something to violate any student's privacy rights on Zoom, then we have a case for firing her. That is misconduct. Voicing her own views is not. The First Amendment protects speech we don't like. Popular speech needs no protection. Popular speech lines the speaker's pockets.
1
@TheJazzDane You don't know who sabotaged the Nord Stream pipeline any more than any talking head does. Could it be Russia? Not impossible, strictly speaking. What Greenwald says is logical. It may not turn out to be a fact. But logic itself is never wrong. Follow the logic. It's always the right place to start. Logic is non-journalistic? Ironically true. Logic and meme production don't mesh well.
1
@TheJazzDane So Russia needs money for its war, it is under massive sanctions, it uses Nord Stream as leverage to coerce Europe, AND it bombed that very pipeline. Okay. It's not impossible. Maybe al Qaeda did it. It's only slightly less possible than Russia. Maybe Serbia did it, maybe Syria did it. Maybe it's a natural occurrence after all. I mean, none of these are strictly impossible. You can find lots of explanations even less possible than the story that Russia did it.
1
@KMLR2012 Wow. Notice also, we never know who is responsible. It could be Fox, it could be someone else's algorithm. It could even be a human, working on behalf of someone in the sequence.
1
@KMLR2012 Oh, okay. Bizarro world.
1
To sum up: 1. We do not know who did this. 2. We are being asked to believe the most illogical explanation, as a loyalty oath/litmus test. Not good. Not good at all.
1
@KMLR2012 Joe Rogan really did provide a remarkable clip on this subject either early today or yesterday. I recommend it.
1
And they acted like Milli Vanilli was a massive scandal.
1
"Fighting back for us?" Excuse me? Isn't that the job of law enforcement, including national guard if local police or sheriff's deputies are overwhelmed?
1
@silentpatriot3337 Whose hands are tied? And the "solution" is some new vigilante group that you know nothing about, but that has good branding in your eyes? You like their polo shirts? I mean, the polo shirts are fine, but . . . ?? That's how "patriots" run a country? Okay. Your circus.
1
It's called high irony.
1
@Rexident97 Dunning-Kruger strikes again. Or is it news when it doesn't?
1
@pkmcburroughs Too bad THIS was sha dow ed, it was very funny.
1
Think about what else the Clintonites want you to believe: that our technological forensics cannot detect a hack by a hostile foreign power. It isn't advanced enough. No, we should just believe the Clintons and their crew. They are trustworthy.
1
She took money from ordinary people. In 2024. Wow.
1
The corruptionists can afford organic food.
1
@kanicman No, that isn't why. But keep it up. I'm not sorry to see saner societies succeed in educating their youth where this sheer nonsense fails.
1
I agree that we do not know who did this, that strictly speaking and as a bare possibility, any major actor could be responsible, including Russia, but one thing that is never wrong is logic. Follow the logic. Always start there.
1
Carl Tharp-Porter: WOW!!!
1
Now you know: never get high again. It's not worth it.
1
Google? That tells you stuff "ha ha?" No libraries out by you?
1
@phoenixmistertwo8815 Show me where I did.
1
Of course they let him go. This was World Wrestling.
1
The richest New Yorkers are part-time residents of Manhattan. Does anyone else count?
1
No, it doesn't. Don't be so easily led. By the way, did you know this was a public community college? (Was I the only person who checked?)
1
A billionaire who didn't have dinner with Jeffrey Epstein. Well?
1
@RyanRamboer-sv3pm How do you know?
