@tpocalypse It's not that hard to desist. My first reaction was, wow, they GOT HIM! Of course. Then I remembered the last three years and decided to suspend judgment until we had some concrete facts, tested in court. I can wait.

So, your really sane, measured, and compassionate post gets these responses? What is that about?? We do not live in a healthy society at the moment, and it has been obviously fraying since September 11, 2001. The last three years were not optimal for anyone's state of mind.

@jesusisalive3227 Exactly. And you would never believe how common false confessions are, too. I was so impressed by the procedural law in Idaho, where they will not release the affidavit or give details about why they have probable cause until the defendant is brought back to the state and faces a judge. Brilliant.

I agree with this. Best comment on the boards. Never say or do anything that could get an innocent person convicted OR a guilty person freed. It's never worth it, not even idle chatter, and especially irresponsible on the part of mass media.

If the drive had been planned in advance, I'm not surprised that he did everything the same, as though nothing had happened.

We should avoid spending money on a trial and just listen to you. Sounds like a plan.

And should they be vaccinated and twice boosted, too?

@generalzod7959 Standing alone, it should usually be disregarded as credible evidence. But if an inmate makes such an accusation, it would be negligent of the jail not to secretly record the guy to collect real evidence, considering how inexpensive recording is and how important to capture anything he might say that could harm anyone else.

Well, if George Santos can be a member of the House of Representatives . . . anything can happen.

@nicolemalick2166 Exactly.

Are you this good at predicting the stock market?

@puttintane9937 Upon his arrest, I heard no mention of his race, either.
1
Wow. We could save money on trials and just hire you.

I know. After all, who needs court? Remember Uvalde, when the police said a teacher propped open the door? Remember when police decided Gabby Petito was the primary aggressor in her relationship with Brian Laundrie? I always believe the police, honest. Trials are for sissies.

@GodBlessYou112 That's what you got from the press. Remember how at first, Uvalde was because "a teacher left the back door open?"
