  7.  @stevenhicks8159  Entirely incorrect. Marriage is most certainly a civil matter. No church can ever be required to recognize any marriage from a purely religious standpoint. Even some don't recognize divorce and remarriage. It is their First Amendment right to decline to recognize any of that. But by the same token, they cannot dictate what a CIVIL marriage is.
