So don't accuse me of being oblivious. That something happened does not surprise me. That this happened today, on October 7, 2023, at daybreak, certainly does, yes. The entire world has bad leaders now. I knew that, too.

If that's true, then nearly every nation in the UN except for the United States has openly declared itself to be "antisemitic." In fact, everyone who does not support Likud is "antisemitic." That's not what the word means. First of all, where is the evidence that anyone on campus called for the "genocide" of any group? As for the young man who testified, did he make a report? Universities spend millions on administrators to ensure Title VI and Title IX are followed. These are Ivy League schools. The student managed to get admitted; he is supposed to know how to find the office and file a complaint to begin an INVESTIGATION, which he has a right and an obligation to demand. One would think. Tara Reade had more evidence. Crying wolf isn't a good idea, because there is real antisemitism in the world and it's always a sinister sign.

  11. @ivand013  In many cases, you do have a lawsuit. This is because in many PUBLIC sector jobs you can only be removed for cause, and you generally have a hearing of some sort, however limited it may be, prior to termination. You didn't know?

  32. @Ndisikasewe  What I found disgusting and shocking was that a woman who is supposed to be an eminent legal scholar --- who clerked for Justice Ginsberg --- cannot explain the First Amendment. Or distinguish between what is a full First Amendment forum on campus and what isn't. Or show concern for the rights of ALL students. At a state school, at a demonstration on the quad, students have a right to chant "from the river to the sea, Palestine will be free." What they can't do is target Jewish students and show up with that stuff at their dorm or cafeteria. That's harassment. That could get them expelled. This was crystal clear when I was in school. Why are you so quick to give up more rights? You know the Fourth Amendment has been trashed, correct? You fell for that little Stefanik's act, who was fundraising? You think she's all worried about Jewish kids? You think Jewish kids aren't demonstrating for a cease fire, too, and chanting, too? Wow, are you easy to manipulate. I wish I were evil, it's clearly the way to make bank.

To pass Fifth Amendment muster, those laws have to clearly define the crime. One law they tried to apply against the January 6th protesters was just ruled inapplicable to them by the Supreme Court. Justice Jackson agreed with that.

  45. How do you know? As a public sector employee, he enjoys a measure of First Amendment protection. Have you seen what he produced, to judge for yourself? Should a filmmaker involved in the production of Boogie Nights or Elle not be a university professor? An administrator? You just jump when a MSM show says jump. This isn't evident until we consider all the facts.

The fact that she cannot explain what I could explain in my sleep was mind-boggling. Like, maybe she doesn't know First Amendment law, or believe in free speech? ("Ya think?")
