@benny360 The first sentence of the description of this video says "opening remarks." So . . . this lady risked her life for her country, and you can't read a sentence before you criticize her. (She just mentioned something public scrutiny . . .) Here's a question: why should anyone lift a finger for you, much less be willing to give their life to protect you? Help me with this.

On second thought, don't.

@awaitingthetrumpetcall4529 LOL, I just want to keep it real. I know my politics are different from this woman's but I love her anyway. She's a hero. She believes in the Bill of Rights, and was willing to die for it. Someone has something critical to say, about her brilliant, sincere, totally heartfelt opening remarks? WOW how low can we GO??? DON'T TELL ME, I DON'T WANT TO KNOW.

PLEASE BECOME A CIVIL LIBERTIES LAWYER. PLEASE.

Fictional, of course. I think of the people they assassinated. That's why I respect this lady -- it's obvious no one could get her to do such a thing.

What do you mean by blew the whistle? Asked him to resign? Or had him arrested, ruined his record, etc.? I would never arrest anyone for food theft. Never, ever. (Remember Les Miserables?) But obviously he can't stay at that job, either.

@sleepfighter Say what? You mean he reported this to the authorities? What does race or gay have to do with stealing a loaf of bread, or a bunch of grapes? Was this grape trafficking, in quantities, for profit??
1
@sleepfighter I'm sorry, this is an internal matter. You ask him to resign. You NEVER, and I mean NEVER, report someone for stealing food for personal consumption. It's like, a thing you don't do, since the French Revolution, since Victor Hugo wrote. What happened to moral values? Someone is getting 15 minutes of fame and a twitter storm, over this?

Seriously, . . . no one wants to be law enforcement, no one wants to be a nurse (few want to be doctors, and all the exams for lawyers were made easier), no one wants to be a teacher, no one wants to come into the office on a daily basis . . . you're sanguine, huh? No worries? LOL Keep it up.

She was explaining why she decided to testify, rather than decline the invitation. Apparently she was not under subpoena. She was also explaining why she joined, after being evacuated near the Twin Towers on 9/11. That turned a lot of people toward religion.

@_andre99 False. You believe the FBI is, etc. You don't know that.

@paulstevens9087 You know what? By American standards, I am very far left, and I am not religious, and I generally mistrust religious institutions as being a cover story for something sinister and nefarious. That doesn't matter in this instance. I actually think she is attempting to tell the truth, and that she means what she's saying. I feel for people like her. She broke down when she talked about Marjorie Stoneman Douglas High School, known for its activists following the shooting there, who were generally perceived as left-wing. I noticed that. Maybe just listen some time?

@paulstevens9087 It was her "opening statement," not her testimony. See the first sentence of the video description. I don't know what her testimony was.

@paulstevens9087 It was her opening statement. It says so in the description box. Did you think this was her testimony??
