Anyone who thinks this treatment and this scrutiny is privilege needs to talk to someone about their problems. Barring him on the basis of being a threat to public order rather than a health threat is chilling. And for refusing a medical intervention he demonstrably does not need makes it worse. I thought he should have left immediately and boycotted Australia. I thought he made a mistake in trying to stay. The American Sandgren is doing the right thing.

He has been misrepresented even where it resulted in harm to others in addition to him, an unending story. I doubt very much you know anything about him, as opposed to knowing everything about his reputation. But he is less responsible for that than most people in his position would be.
