  1. ​@criticalthinker420 If you are retaliated against in any manner for raising a legitimate safety issue in the proper way -- especially one that involves some regulatory standard mandated by law -- then you are entitled to unemployment benefits. Fighting for benefits is good for society. Companies that shirk their safety regulations and try to avoid their unemployment compensation responsibilities are in the wrong.

If they gave her until the end of First Quarter (through 3/31) and she didn't meet her quarterly targets, even that would be shabby but fine, not irrational. She refused to be subjected to gaslighting. GOOD.

He would have to prove the timeline: he already had IBM as a client, then failed to do the proper conflicts check. If he took money from IBM after speaking with you and agreeing to represent you, you could have him disbarred. Also, this is unusual. This is why firms specialize: you have tort firms and insurance firms, employee firms and management firms. Take a peek to see whether this guy still has his license. In any case, he should have been reported. If it was only an honest error, the bar often issues a reprimand. If it was worse, he could have been in big trouble. If this could fly, the billionaires could bribe all the lawyers. Lay people don't know and think they have to take it. Depending on when this happened, you could report it now.

  7. @JohnCrawford1979  I know it's very hard for an ordinary person to find a lawyer. It was never this hard. But there are a few bright-line rules lawyers have got to obey, and not betraying a client is one of them. And if a lawyer does that for money, and you can prove it, they will be disbarred.
