@bunjier4041 Um, no. Just no.

@extract8058 Oops, I'm not Western. We don't cry over the human condition. Your specialty.

@jeffreysnyder290 But that isn't at the root of the hesitancy. It's not a matter of demanding perfection, but concern about safety. I am not surprised that people who have taken the risk are belligerent toward those who haven't. That's the mentality you always see in America with majoritarian types who have never had a bad life and don't know what that means. (N. B. It does not mean a reversal you overcome.) Everyone I know who hasn't been vaccinated yet has had at least one serious, life-altering medical mistake in their lives. And no POC ever tries to bully anyone into or out of taking it. I wonder why that is. I have a suggestion. Take a look at vaccination rates in Germany, France, Japan, Russian Federation. Pretty interesting. Japan is about to host the Olympics, though without spectators. Are they all crazy? Hm.

@jeffreysnyder290 Does any seatbelt cause harm to the wearer, comparable to a crash? I thought this person made some good points. No wonder California reinstituted masks requirements indoors. Everything about COVID has been politicized. This does not build confidence. The only thing that is permitted be said is that the people militating against vaccines "are out of their minds." If you think that constitutes evidence for taking the opposite view, then that illustrates my point.

@real-patriot-b9j I agree with that 100%. I couldn't read that from your first post. Anyway, your point is scientifically sound. The new "no mask needed" business is more politics, not public health.

@Roa "Nothing happened to me, so the vaccine's okay." Precisely why people should be cautious. If they end up being among the very few who are harmed, they may see society turn its back.

True, but how frequently, how severe, and how long?

@N00bcrunch3r I knew someone would rush in to say that.

@real-patriot-b9j What made you think that made sense? I tried hard to parse it.

@N00bcrunch3r Has everyone on earth had a chance to be vaccinated? Are our international airports closed? Should people in chemo whose doctors were concerned or who themselves were too worried to get vaccinated remain under house arrest? Ghoul.

@boomchick3n458 I thought he was snide, frankly. He didn't call you names, so I guess that's something.
1
@Roa Okay. So you got my point.
