Everyone later laughs about the times they were teased in school. No one who was bullied laughs about it, ever. They are not the same thing.

THIS. Social media is ubiquitous and potentially immortal. Anyone on earth can see it. This is an entirely different environment for a child approaching puberty, who WILL have overly sensitive moments. The point is to not get stuck in them, and not be shaped by them -- and not have the whole world see them. When I was a kid, it was rare for journalists to get permission to take a picture of a famous person's child. Use of children in advertising was frowned upon and regulated. People were appalled at stage Moms, and felt that child actors deserved special consideration and protection. And the kids weren't cry babies at all.

@meowth8050 I wasn't bullied until adulthood. Workplace bullying is a criminal offense in a lot of countries. Here, it means tough luck, look for a new job. I don't care about "growth," so called. My family is abroad, I need money to retire and emigrate.

@meowth8050 That is true. Or at least a good possibility.

@ryangunwitch-black Nice going! Good to hear.

@snakejunt Yes, and it is heartbreaking. Parents have GOT to say no until their child graduates from high school, and warn warn warn after that. Offers of admission to Harvard have been withdrawn over tweets and such.

There isn't a 14 year old on earth who never did anything they would want to put behind them. Not one.

@Daniel_Rood You need a private shooting range, and that's called success? I wonder what you would have had if your grandparents had encouraged you to study mathematics and physics, and practice a sport that helped train you to lessen the effects of your motion sickness.
