He should have had tutors, speech therapists, debating coaches, and drama classes. You see middle class people work two jobs and turn out their pockets to educate a child with minor challenges, and fight tooth and claw to get help from the public schools. Shouldn't he at least reach some level of competence before he interferes in the lives of others? My first instinct was not to blame him, either. Soros the father should be ashamed. This is a disgrace.

  14. @beantreats  Oh, I see. You might not have had psycholinguistics. A bilingual preschool child is forced to be a good listener, by their environment. It's not a choice. It's a stroke of luck, in a way. If I were up to me to choose, I'm not entirely sure I would -- not before kindergarten, at any rate. I'd go for one language plus music that young. Yeah, I think having real values, with education of the young being at the top of the list, and standards, like earning your platform rather than having it handed to you based on money, is better. I think pleading for those values is better. But I think in terms of universals, not decadent bourgeois hierarchies and the new pseudo-compassion.
