  3. When I was little, pick pockets used to take your money and mail your wallet back. I'll never forget the look on my mother's face when she got everything back but the cash. She didn't mind losing the cash at all.

  4. You certainly should have gotten a reward. I mean good grief, 5% is $850. I would have been embarrassed to withhold it. Makes me think the cash was not legal in some respect: should not have been in the possession of the owner of the backpack, or it was his but he did not obtain it through legal transactions.
