@HazemeII Really? Both of my parents and I lost immense wealth due to corporate crime at the top. The last generation to be millionaires were my grandparents, both sides, and Hitler made sure that was gone.

@HazemeII My intelligence was resented, not rewarded, and I did my best to be a wallflower. Envy runs riches, first and foremost. That means tearing others down is rewarded as well. Socrates talks about this, so it's hardly new.

The remarkable fact is that the great fortunes of the past were industrial fortunes. Today, note how many are based on entertainment and the new advertising/surveillance paradigms. In other words, propaganda in its many forms.

@scottcincinnatikid9804 None of the people I know with real money worked hard for it. The stock market was their main source. Sometimes an unusual special talent in sudden high demand created seed money.
