@JadeoftheGlade I'm so sorry. I wish you did not have company, and it hardly helps you that you do -- but you do. Also, people with "long COVID" become depressed as well. :/

@SoniaGonzalez-cs2yl Yes, this is exactly how the flu vaccine works. You might catch the flu, but it will feel like a cold. Unfortunately, you can spread it to others, who might get very sick. All the approved vaccines in the world prevent serious COVID, and prevent hospitalization. That's all we know with high certainty. We don't even know how long our resistance lasts. Not great.

Masks protect others from infection much more than the wearer. Vaccines protect the vaccinated person from serious disease much more than they protect others.

@athleticguy15 Dr. Fauci has admitted prevaricating about masks. He does not come across as frank. The public health officials in my state (who happened to be women) were far better. One of them did a mini-class on statistical reasoning for the public. Fauci's routine smacks of authoritarianism and showman-light, like he's been affected by spending too much time with Trump.
