I think it might be helpful if American elites could be persuaded that one cannot eat tweets, or use them to run one's car. Do you think this could be done? I welcome your thoughts.

Of course there's a way to get Russia to part with its oil without their getting paid for it: you bomb them and then you rob them. What's not to like? /s The US has plenty of experience in this. It doesn't win wars in any traditional sense, or engage in a hidebound 19th-century version of imperialism, but it does seize resources in sufficient quantities to maintain and control its massively indebted economy. That's the point.
