@michaelwaninger3155 You've seen his contract?

People fall for this? Scary. So many falsehoods it's not even funny. For starters, Joe didn't apologize. Nor did he say that positions that were known to be false later turned out to be true -- which, according to Noah, is only because conditions changed. That wasn't Joe's point at all. The point was that holding perfectly legitimate positions during a time of limited scientific certainty could get you censored and banned. The wet market story of COVID origins was pushed, but the hypothesis of a lab accident -- at a lab that accepted AMERICAN funding for research -- was "racist?" So, we refused to seek out the truth, whatever it may be, in a noble attempt to protect Asians! No, it was to protect Americans.

Rogan's point is that there are many things that you were banned for saying, that turned out to be perfectly valid positions. You have to be open to real debate and discussion, and to have the sincerity and humility to admit when you do not know, rather than to browbeat and bully people who don't accept your current take.

This is 2022. I'm not laughing any more.

Read the original research and fact sheets the three vaccine manufacturers themselves put out. They never said the vaccines would stop all illness and spread -- especially not Johnson & Johnson. Their purpose was to ensure a mild illness and prevent hospitalization and death. But the media pushed a different line for some reason.

Bull's eye. Exactly.

Rogan's point is that there are things that you were recently banned for saying, that turned out to be perfectly valid positions. You have to be open to real debate and discussion, and to have the sincerity and humility to admit when you do not know, rather than to browbeat others into submission. The wet market story of COVID origins was pushed, but saying COVID originated in a lab that accepts AMERICAN funding for research was "racist?" And we banned dissent to protect Asians? No, the wet market story disrespected their customs. The lab accident hypothesis was censored to protect Americans.

Wait for permission.
1
@stephenbrown3653 Totally. I'm stunned people fall for this. Stunned.
1
@Adamdidit I made part of it. Has that been shadowed?

@Adamdidit Censoring the Wuhan lab leak hypothesis "to protect Asians" (against "racism!") is classic. So we floated a wet market story? No, that research was funded by Americans. It was to cover up for certain Americans. I bet a lot of Chinese are furious Wuhan accepted that money. Also, Joe didn't "apologize." He gave a response. He regrets what's-his-name felt he had to leave Spotify.

@Triception How do you know Rogan is still beholden to advertisers? Legacy media personalities were hired for existing positions. Joe Rogan created his job on his own. People's picture of the world blows my mind.
1
@Triception Who said Spotify was pressuring Rogan? If someone did, ask that person. I don't know the logic underlying astronomical contracts, or how or why any of these "apps" generate overnight billionaires. (Consider Facebook. Can you eat it or wear it? Does it heat your house?) I do know Rogan invented his own show and his own format, and was one of the pioneers of the multi-hour conversational podcast, essentially for fun. I'm not on Spotify, because they use birth dates to authenticate identity -- just like the pharmacy and most doctors' offices and hospitals. Sorry, I don't bite. I never joined Facebook. Or Twitter.
1
@Triception Who said I didn't? He put in place a platform, then attracted the audience, and then attracted advertisers, OF COURSE. How beholden he is depends on how much he thinks he needs still more money. He has claimed he is extremely lucky to have f u money. Is he sincere? I do not know the man.

@questioneverything7582 Simply not true. The biochemical mechanism of viral and bacterial infection is now known. Biology is so complex it is almost always statistical. Consider there are people who worked to clean up Chernobyl and did not develop cancer. Consider there was a man who survived Hiroshima, took a train to Nagasaki, then survived that, and lived into his 80s. Ratioactive particles and viruses are analogous. IOW, a 100% infection rate is unusual. The same is true for the number of mutations different people develop from the same (survivable) radiation dose, and what happens next to those cells.
1
@Triception He does not need to generate a living. BTW.
1
@Adamdidit Thank you. That was a nice post, appreciated. I think my posts about certain research in a certain place were in fact shadowed. Too bad.
1
Exactly. The actual vaccine consent forms and fact sheets never said that.

Joe "apologized" -- wrong (nor was there any need). Spotify is operating on the basis of sunken costs -- Noah doesn't know that. "Broken clock" -- that wasn't Joe's point. Holding minority views on matters we didn't have firm evidence about was getting people censored and banned. Now, we have been granted official permission to state them. The lab accident hypothesis had to be hushed up "to protect Asians from racism" -- what a howler! So, we made up a wet market story, and disrespected their dietary customs instead? The lab had American funding. The wet market story was to protect Americans. Of course. (My, how noble!)

He didn't. Watch the entire video. It's misrepresented here, as usual.

Yeah, and federal prison. In lockdown.
