@theusher2893 I know. Those poor, poor plantations owners screaming, "but we don't WANT slaves!," and having Africa thrust slaves upon them. I shudder to think about it.

@theusher2893 To mention the current slave market in Africa, considering Hillary Clinton's part in bringing it about, is disingenuous in the extreme.

@aavbh403 Of course. I never assumed ordinary people were in favor of any of it. It was never to their long-term benefit; it might marginally benefit some, for a period of time, and this, at times, made collaborating with the corrupted elites seductive.
