@kathiebenson4990 Very few people do at 21, unless they inherited a trust.

@loopy1159 Why? These were minors. A child is a person who has not completed puberty. They were also below every relevant age of consent, state and federal. But most were not children. No, let's not conflate 17 and 7. That is not a good idea.

We usually say "minors." The age of consent in Florida is 18. The federal age for crossing state lines is 18. The federal legal age for producing pictures is 18. So, it's clear.

@yellowhibiscus-ll2gx We usually say "minors." Children are youngsters who have not completed puberty. They are usually 10th grade or younger. The age of consent in Florida is 18. The federal age for crossing state lines is 18. The federal legal age for producing pictures is 18. So, it's clear. No need to call them "children."

@citytrees1752 The laws do make a distinction based on reality. 17 is not 7.

@wilmamanzanillo6968 ??? These are bright-line rules. Even the states that have exceptions (17 age of consent, but people 15 or over and very close in age are not criminally prosecuted), the rule is spelled out. A month off, and it's a felony.

@TT_09 The word is "minor." A child is someone who has not completed puberty. That does not usually describe a 17-year-old, or even some 16-year-olds. But they are all underage minors.

In so many pictures, Epstein looks like he's made of rubber. Like a lifelike doll, not a person.
