Dreamboat How anyone can think politics are relevant here is beyond me.

@SkateSka It IS petty compared to all the praise Rittenhouse got, I will give you that. Just how many lost kids do there have to be before you all take notice, and say, well, maybe we might approach this whole childhood and adolescence thing differently . . . ?
2
@SkateSka https://youtu.be/fAD7xu8pot0 I can guess your true affinity. Anyway, see how other people react to the prospect of rampant americanization. Rather unhappy with the idea, no?
2
@SkateSka How quickly ad hominem betrays projection.
2
@SkateSka WAIT A SECOND. You think COPS are against drugs?? That tells me e v e r y t h i n g. Okay. Now I get it. https://www.theguardian.com/business/2016/jul/11/hsbc-us-money-laundering-george-osborne-report

People who live like this, and don't have the sheer luck to succeed in entertainment, end up homeless. Real turnoff. Hope they'll both be okay, but don't want their "influence" over others.
2
NO, kids do not have to try any psychoactive drugs. YES they are really dangerous before, say, the mid-twenties. Read some contemporary neurology. Don't even eat additives and preservatives, much less GMOs, before the twenties -- if ever. Don't give in to peer pressure at 16. Watch, you may not care about trying it at 26.
2
@phifedawg8684 Yeah, teach them how to use cocaine, etc., "safely." The global financial system is depending on you. https://www.theguardian.com/business/2016/jul/11/hsbc-us-money-laundering-george-osborne-report
2
Well. All the people promoting Kyle Rittenhouse are vastly worse, so there's that. What do you all do to your kids?
2
Might be about the drugs?

Or how about don't do it? At least not before age 30?

@thivan233 Oh yeah? Are minors responsible, or do the adults around them bear some responsibility for the well-being of the next generation? Here comes the neoliberal "individual choice" crap! There must be some reason why advanced forms of new media advertising have spawned the youngest multi-billionaires of our time. Why do you think that is, hm?
1
@thivan233 Okay, I believe that. But if a person is underage, their resistance to peer influence is very poor. It's just a fact. No one has to impose overt pressure.
1
@thivan233 I didn't mean to suggest you did. I'm sorry for the misunderstanding. In this video, both Cyrus and Rogan suggest there are "safe" ways to use hard drugs, and suggest telling minors about that. Such nonsense. I am against criminalization for adults, by the way, so a debate about interdiction does not apply to my point. But then persuasion becomes all the more important, as does failing to counter misinformation about drugs by pop icons.
1
@thivan233 I'm not anyone's fool. But I am not a minor. Get it? I also know how to do research. Do most teenagers, or very young adults? Do most teenagers read several languages, and have a real idea of diversity, on a larger scale? Please. I ask again: why has the ADVERTISING industry spawned the youngest billionaires in human history? (What is advertising, anyway? Can you eat it, wear it? Does it heat your house?) Let's take a big-picture look at this. And if you can show me the health benefits of anything you mentioned comparable with the benefits -- and lack of risk -- of coffee for most people, I'll grant you the point. Although organic green tea may be better and safer.
1
@thivan233 What's the problem? With propaganda being the source of the new great fortunes? See Adam Curtis on that (The Century of the Self, BBC2 documentary series). You can still make gobs of money in the new media. Depends on what you are willing to do. To me, these kids, who got rich starting their own troll farms, are less harmful than the pseudo-celebrities telling money-worshipping, gullible American kids that there are safe ways to try hard drugs: https://www.wired.com/2017/02/veles-macedonia-fake-news/
1
@thivan233 A person can overdose on water. Moderate amounts of coffee are beneficial for most people. Of course not all. Strawberries are highly nutritious, but in my family many of us are allergic to them.

@thivan233 America: https://youtu.be/UonclNOzAGo The Non-Western "Other": https://youtu.be/3K0xjMzTc4E Sometimes life is SO fair!!! More and more often. Be more careful. ;)
1
@thivan233 And you didn't know your video link contains an ugly racial stereotype? Sure you didn't. You were high? I believe it.
1
@thivan233 What are YOU talking about? Yeesh. You can't stop with insults. Did drugs do this to you? You see "threats?" Where?? Is that what the slang use of the term "paranoia," for what happens during drug use, refers to? What did you say before the "Karen" slur became fashionable? Have you ever said anything that isn't fashionable? I'm glad you're "at peace," the US is at war, as usual. If you're so prone to tossing off insults when you are "at peace," I'd hate to see you agitated. I hope no one wishes to be anyone but who they are. I hadn't really thought about it. YOU brought it up. Why would that be?
1
@thivan233 You should take down that video, with the ugly racial stereotype, by the way. Do you know anything about the Opium Wars? Shame.
1
No, Joe, drugs are not like sex at all. Sex is normal.

Yeah. Most of humanity is non-Western. This is a totally Western thing, yo.

The big banks are depending on us. https://www.theguardian.com/business/2016/jul/11/hsbc-us-money-laundering-george-osborne-report
1
@SkateSka Let's see. Over in one corner, we have grown people supporting AR-15 for underage youth. In the other corner, we have lavish praise for young "celebrities" who as children experimented with psychedelics and still tout some of them, as a gateway to spiritual insight, supposedly. Hmm. Could there be something wrong with this picture? Nah. All good.
1
@SkateSka Drugs for developing brains are not petty. Do you have any clue how other peoples in the world raise their children? https://youtu.be/52sA5djJKZM Stupid ad hominem ya got there. Reflexive. Try thinking.
1
@SkateSka Who is hating whom? Who is and isn't admirable, and what would you know about it? Not much, I see. You go straight to ad hominem. I am not reacting to a young person's prior music videos from years and years ago, but to the suggestion HERE that there is a safe way to use hard drugs. That is what they said in this video. I'm not even for criminalizing any of them -- let them be legal, so that black and brown kids don't end up in jail servicing the rich whites. But I am going to call out lies: that hard drugs can be used "safely," especially by the very young, adolescent or young adult, is a flat-out LIE. But have it your way.
1
@SkateSka my actual response was in salty french, apparently interdit
1
https://www.theguardian.com/business/2016/jul/11/hsbc-us-money-laundering-george-osborne-report The major banks are anti-drug, too. 😅
1
I'm getting more and more insight into why being likeable is literally worthless, here, now.
1
Do not do drugs. Simple.
1
Listen to the interview.
1
Harsh!
1
I don't know, but it's instructive, isn't it? "Popularity" has never been more worthless. Yet it can create overnight billionaires, too, while real jobs disappear. Strange times.
1
@7.62juarez It's called hard drugs. Look into what they can do to young minds.
1
It's not common.
1
@fe5018 People don't want their kids to emulate her. Crazy idea, I know. The whole country runs on coolification.
1
@fe5018 And you don't know how other people in the rest of the world live, or how they raise their kids, and why. You have zero clue. You don't even know how deep the propaganda is, here.
1
@junitosama9267 True, American kids will. But they'll also fail fractions, play first-person shooter video games instead of piano, carry assault rifles. Y'know. Kids.
1
Do you know what an artist is? https://youtu.be/2uey1oHqIAE Doubt it more and more.
1
Oh really? They will hear "shrooms" at 17. When they're that young, they lack the maturity to know it will not be okay, and they will not be a millionaire pop singer.
