Forty years ago, my mom's friend had a little boy with truly severe ADHD. His mother took him to Puerto Rico for treatment, where her family was from. A doctor there changed his diet, and he was fine after that. He was unusually sensitive to additives, and especially food coloring.

@gb747gb It's so long ago that I don't know. I remember that it eliminated all additives, all added sugars and artificial ingredients, and treated food coloring as though it were an allergen or toxin -- he could never have any. He literally could not touch it. He did better very rapidly. His mom had been truly desperate because he had been clearly unwell for several years and no one could do anything for him here.

If screen time is one factor on the list, will we hear about it here? We already know the pandemic mitigation harmed toddler's eye development. Older kids are apparently not affected, or if they are, can recover.
