I don't even think people know what critical thinking means. Words like "logic" have been corrupted to the point where you find plenty of people who think it means you agree with Scalia or Ben Shapiro. Speaking of that, it's interesting how the math videos all seem to be produced by people with heavy accents . . .

@shaboidagoober1304 What makes you think parents know what critical thinking is? It means more than the ability to resist the crowd pushing the latest fad -- and when it comes to that, most parents don't know how to escape the tug of war, and show the kind of warmth that wins kids over rather than causing them to rebel by dumb reflex.

@xmathmanx The fact that people who did not grow up with English as their L1 are the ones making math videos is the point. How is it relevant? Well, who is actually studying this stuff and taking the time to disseminate it, hm?

@xmathmanx 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 Thanks for the display of critical thinking there. Maybe, just maybe, mathematics is a good way to learn logic and we need to start "connecting those dots." (A little cliche there, to soothe you and keep your focus on what is being said. I see that unfamiliar ideas might scare you.) Don't take my word for it. See what Bertrand Russell had to say.
