  1. He was guilty on some counts, but the flamboyant ones ("selling Obama's Senate seat") were a complete lie. Corruption at his level was a way of life in Chicago. Plenty were worse and never indicted. Plenty who went after him did way worse, and attacking him was their cover for their own misdeads. Nevertheless, it is not true that he was innocent.

  2. ​@smurfette1509 Why? Is Social Security or Medicare means tested? Is public school? With CTA/Metra, the only people who use it are those with a real need. Seniors who have cars don't take the bus to shop for groceries or for doctor appointments. Please. And billionaires don't apply for Social Security.

  4. @Isaiah-cs1cr  He was prosecuted and convicted for that, but I could never find out which convictions were overturned. Several were. 🤷‍♀️
