@freebirdjackson5511 No to mention halfway house options. People have to move from inpatient to complete independence stepwise. Also, that tells you when a particular patient has reached most of what he can do without assistance for the time being.

@adamwal4591 I won't attempt to argue the point, for obvious reasons, starting with lack of knowledge about what the chances are that that is exactly how it would go, but it IS a separate issue.

@adamwal4591 If some program of this nature could be devised, and kept honest (another BIG "if"), it would be an huge improvement. This is precisely what wealthy people who suffer a psychotic breakdown will be offered.
