If these countries have reason to believe the first is in response to a so-called "existential threat," and the second is about securing raw materials at a low cost, supporting dollar hegemony, and extending American ideological influence among the global elites, LOGICALLY speaking there is zero hypocrisy. But that is an empirical question to some extent, of course. You're not analyzing this correctly, but what else is new? 🤣

@eddycurrents8073 Zelensky banned all opposition parties to the left of him weeks ago, and there are credible reports that the ultra-right/neo-Nazis have threatened Zelensky's life if he were to attempt to negotiate without their full approval. Does any of that sound like he is free to govern? Not to me. People should look up reports from well BEFORE this war. Golinkin, Mearsheimer, Stephen F. Cohen. Anne Laure Bonnel in France, and her documentaries. That's how you get unbiased information. (Golinkin is profoundly anti-Putin, by the way. No equivocation on his part.)
