  4. California is a "progressive" blue state. So why is it exploiting the Thirteenth Amendment loophole and using slave labor to fight the fires? Why is it treating the migrant farmers like slaves as well? Is its "progressivism" much like corporate window dressing? As it kills off any real challenge from the left . . .
