  2.  @Brett_S_420  True. A guy name Petrov, I believe, realized it was purely a technical error. His story was that he reset the equipment and went home and slept well after his shift ended. It was relatively low drama. I think the US has had similar incidents, and the SOP/mechanical backups showed they were false alarms quickly. US military equipment is generally "easier" to use because of its engineering, from what we are told.
