@Operation45623 Exactly right. Where are we that anyone could think the age and birthplace requirements -- both easily verifiable -- are on a par with whether or not a person participated in an insurrection? Don't you first have to determine there was an insurrection?

@Red-Check-Mark Actually, every court has a responsibility to rule on a constitutional claim that is properly before the court, but only the Supreme Court is the final and controlling authority on what the US Constitution means.

@elleaubry3772 Every one of you pontificating on this very serious matter (putting aside the problem of "insane 🤡 president" Trump) should have to spend the weekend reading the actual opinion. You don't know what you're talking about. You don't pull people off a ballot in this country "cuz a bunch of people saw a bunch of videos." You campaign against them for that. You don't eliminate a free election.

@user-rc2xs5ti2w There was a dissent. The Justices of the Colorado Court didn't all agree, and they stayed the decision pending review. So, we aren't in the realm of lawlessness --- yet. I still remember 30 years ago when Hate Radio and the afternoon talk shows were convincing housewives that the Constitution makes it impossible to punish vicious crimes and keep kids safe. They believed it, too. We have zero civics education. Look at what people were willing to do during the pandemic! :/
