In my state, even adjunct college faculty cannot collect unemployment benefits. There are many categories of workers made ineligible by state statute. And the unemployment rate is an undercount: if you have not applied for a job in four weeks, you drop out of the count. It is not enough to look for places to apply, or to be eligible for rehire and expecting a callback from your previous job. But if you apply for jobs for which you lack qualifications, then you are counted.

His parents and school sent him to Washington DC to demonstrate against women's reproductive rights. He was a teenager in high school, too young to consent to sex much less tell grown women what to do, about anything. Did you know any family or school did that? It came as news to me. They are almost as far gone as QAnon.

@chrisfarley510 Utter insanity. That was why they were on the school trip to DC. I was shocked. I did not know there was a mainstream religion that did that to kids. Some of them were as young as 14. I still have no place to put it. Sounds like Amy's QAnon report from the other day.

A bunch of 14, 15, 16 year old boys, too young to consent to sex, we told to weigh in on what an adult woman legally can or cannot do concerning her most intimate decisions. I did not know anyone was this crazy. Now look how they've groomed him. He does look like Hitler Youth. Tell me, did you know there were parents like this, other than maybe as part of some obscure cult? I didn't know. I mean that.
