@yusufabdul7147 Never happened. They convicted Microsoft of antitrust violations, then on appeal rejected breaking it up as a penalty. The 9/11 attacks occurred while the penalty phase of the case (on remand) was pending. Of course no onerous penalty was imposed on Microsoft after that. They were told to stop leveraging their monopoly power to freeze others out of the market -- basically told to stop breaking the law.

@CIARUNSITE You're right in a sense: it cannot be a matter of "faith." It is the First Amendment that constrains government. It does not constrain private actors.
