It's about minors, and there is a legitimate issue. But not to be treated like this!

Exactly. They are conflating two very different things, and confusing the substance of the issue with this odd and anti-democratic move against an elected representative who was just doing her job to the best of her ability and conscience. In general, I don't want laws that make medical procedures illegal, but I am totally flummoxed by the embrace of these highly invasive therapies that can render children sterile for life, long before they can comprehend what that means, in a society that has had a very long and ugly history of eugenics. That so few seemingly enlightened people don't see the need to pause and examine this has me worried. The blindness analogy was perfect -- brilliant!

@Dwafiz No one forces anyone to go through puberty, no more than anyone forces anyone else to eat, or breath, or walk. We are confusing the substance of the issue with this odd and anti-democratic move against an elected representative. You don't see a reason to pause? Wow.

Suppose a lawmaker makes an objectively improper statement on the floor. What happened to reprimand, censure, suspension? You think you should skip all that, go directly to silencing and removing an elected representative from the chamber floor? That's democratic? When did everyone lose their minds?
