Kiev's recent “counter offensive” in Donbass, with its targeting of civilian population, is also a tactical Rear Guard feint, to cover evacuation of frontline troops back to the East, likely Kiev. However the success or efficacy of such evacuation will not be reported by either side as the “tactical wax and wane” is still in motion.

  3.  @iainw5081  I agree, In the eight years since breaking the Minsk Agreement, the Kiev backed Azov army built not a Siegfried line for defence but the trenches of WW1 in Flanders as a back-stop to launch what they thought was a Normandy style invasion into Donbass and further into Russia, which became a WW1 static trench warfare. Retreat to the West was never envisaged by the Kiev Military planners, and so retreat across open flatlands without any cover or infrastructure meant that "evacuation" was just a false flag to cover a major military logistical blunder and debacle. They are stuck like sitting ducks on dry land, decimated in a cauldron of cross and top fire.
