@EternallyDisappointed why worse? Surely an EV taking someone directly to where they want to go, door to door is better than people taking their car to the station, then wait for a train...so long as they aren't on strike. HS2 is like only by train nerds, people working on it and those fortunate enough to live nowhere near to it..

£200billion on an already totally outmoded white elephant, destroying millions of years of strata in the process. In a country beset with a crumbling health service and education system HS2 has become a national embarrassment.

@TesseractPleiadesOrion not at all, with the Health Service and schools crumbling not to mention all existing infrastructure, there is no place for an ugly £200billion white elephant.
