  1. 💜 thank you for sharing this. I think it helps people to see things differently as well. To feel like we need to celebrate a holiday just because it has been imposed on us from someone else or someone else’s perspective or their belief systems doesn’t mean that it is something that we need to feel like we need to celebrate, or make it into something meaningful. I appreciate your willingness to share your views and your perspectives. I like your idea of just looking at them as a day off from work or time that you have more time for yourself to do what you want to do. One thing that I enjoy celebrating every year is my birthday. It may seem silly for some, but for me it’s a celebration of myself on myanniversary of my birth. So in my way, it’s meaningful and quite honestly I do kind of carryover to celebrating throughout the whole month. But who am I kidding? I think we should be celebrating ourselves all year long :-) and, what I mean when I say celebrating myself is just celebrating who I am in the things I like to do and enjoy doing and just being in the moment and practicing more self-care. As we all know, self-care is something that’s very lacking in our society. OK, with that… Take care!
