I wear literally the same thing every day -- clean copies, of course -- reduces need to have clothes washed, eliminates need to think about what to wear. 10/10 would recommend.

It is shocking that adults are paid to play with balls ... or that people spend their time watching grown people playing with their balls ...

What the hell connection is there betw Stoicism and frugality!?

Can't imagine caring about anyone else's finances: Who can be bothered?

Pretty sure that yapping about nothing for clicks is the YT business model.

Possibly, the key to getting away with this is being relatively affluent ... and cultivating a reputation for being 'eccentric'.

Phone cases👎👎 They make your phone bulky and less pleasant to use. Just don't drop your phone!?

This is fascinating: I'm mostly optimising for minimised cognative load rather than anything financial ... but have largely made similar decisions. The big exception is Amazon: Prime membership is well worthwhile because I can just order things now and forget about them rather than tasking someone with buying them or doing it myself. It turns so many 'Defer' and 'Delegate' cases into 'Do' ones that, then, are effectively resolved immediately.

I do roughly the same for my company: Everyone from the janitor to researchers to leadership is empowered to order whatever will help them do their work (with varying dollar thresholds) no questions asked because it saves so much in co-ordination costs and helps people to make more-impactful choices that yield results sooner. We only ever had one problematic case ... and that person was a problem for numerous other reasons, as well.

I come from a different family/class background than you do ... and the idea that money or how people use it 'means' anything is totally foreign: It simply does not compute for me that people spend so much of a non-renewable resource (life / time) in search of a 'good value', just to avoid 'unnecessarily' expending a very-renewable resource (money).

Chat: Have we ever seen Nicole's eyebrows? Do we even know whether they exist?

Avoiding parenthood seems like the simplest single change to save way more of your time/life/freedom/energy/brainpower than any other change possibly could.

I mean, you could make more accounts and give it more thumbs up ... But prolly check ToS first ...

Don't quite understand the 'I don't pay for X on principle' thing ... The paying isn't what matters, it's the net ROI that does.
