  4. Uranium glass is beautiful ... and it fluoresces bright green under UV. I still want to see how much radiation it lets off, though -- I know that it's 'considered negligible', but not sure precisely what that means.

  8. Oh. They were still using old-timey inches, too ... Guess news of sane measurements hadn't even reached engineers in the States yet ... I mean SI had only been invented like 150yrs earlier, so, seems legit.
