  3. I wish the Spirit Flyback were a bit smaller and dropped the silly *** ... but otherwise, it's so so beautiful! Flyback chronos are about as much fun as you can have with a watch ... and it's such a useful complication!

Whichever watch I happen to wear on an outrageous strap gets the most compliments from non-watch people: Most people don't notice the head of the watch AT ALL, they just see a brightly-coloured 'band'. And, if I wore the same watch on a bracelet or a brown leather strap, they wouldn't even notice that it exists From watch nerds, it's a different story: The thing that gets the most compliments and offers is a '60s Navitimer with a 'Tropical' / faded dial; I've turned down many offers ... but it's always resulted in an interesting chat.

  15. Protip: I've had those convos, too .. usually best to just thank them and not correct them ... They don't know anything about watches if they're confusing a Tudor for a Rolex, and it's best to discuss other things with that sort of person.
