  1. Maybe I just buy bougier stuff, but I feel like things are much better than they used to be ... My Pixel / iPhone are way better than my back-in-the-day BlackBerry, my new camera is better built than my previous one (and has a better sensor / image-processing chip), my new watch has a better movement at lower inflation-adjusted price, my new mic boom arm is way sturdier than the other one that I have ... Just don't buy things optimising for cheapness!?
