  2.  @cmcm711  But, reading data from ROM chips isn't the same as somehow gaining the ability to emulate a co-processor or potentially-more-exotic hardware ... I guess what I'm getting at is: In disc-based systems, yes, the game is purely data ... but in cartridge-based systems I could solder whatever the heck I want onto the PCB ...
