I consider phones disposable -- f derpy pleb cases; if I drop it, I'll just buy a new one. However, there are other benefits of user-replaceable batteries that I do care about are: 1) Zero downtime and without need for cables hanging off of it. 2) Arbitrarily-extensible runtime. And, as regards 'only for EU', there is only one global market: The manufacturer may choose not to offer a product in some market, but ... guess what grey market exists ... as well as international shipping ... as well as international travel!?
