@GrimmRiot Love that the person complaining about bots has the most-sus username ever, eh?

@GrimmRiot Jumping to conclusions: The proud tradition that keeps discussions online from approaching productivity/civility ;P

All hand-drawn, too!

It's like looking at old vacuum-tube computers -- there's way more VISIBLE complexity on the old machines ... and the circuit diagrams are still at the level that a brain can comprehend ... whereas once you've got an IC-based CPU, it's just a(n often literal) black box that just sits there with no obvious clues to what it's doing. Even the 6502 (which is pretty close to contemporary with Aztec) was ~4500 transistors which is way more ACTUAL complexity than this table has.

If you ever go to a bar or pinball museum that has one of these old electromechanical machines, you're almost guaranteed that one of them will be open/being serviced ... watching/talking to whoever's debugging/fixing the machine for a while is at least as much fun as playing pinball ... and I've always found them to be giant nerds who are all too happy to talk about what they're doing/how the machine works.

Hells yeah! More pinball machines need lizards in 'em ... although the t-rex seems to be broken on half the machines half the time.

@wayner396 For sure! I just found a copy of the table for sale for under $3k ... so, so tempted!

Meh, keep the cool stuff for us nerds; everything goes to crap once normies are into a thing.
