@QuickCode-v3w i dont have nearly as much free time as you, but to summarize; corporations and academicians profit from using ai and similar buzzwords. googles statement about 25% is laughable, its just autocorrect and/or finishing sentences. pure useless percentage.

@stickyblicky11 fortunately, yeah its really real. might say all programing is just furries and those in denial

@SioxerNikita all those points are refutable, programmers using it doesnt make it nessecary it was a one and done creation. those job applications will reeview and reject each other in a total waste of energy and computing. language skills arent less nessecary because of translators, thats not a thing and never will be a thing. fluff up texts is not a good thing opposite is good, reading fluff to shorten it. billion dollar industries have always been not much more than a gimmick before. why not now? except, it ruins the world not via shooty robots but by energy and computing waste.

@OutsiderLabs eh for programming i agree. but some jobs its not really about being good at the job but rather the job being good.

@jimaymaybe omfg they can add up numbers??!?? WE ARE DOOMED
1
@primeditor0 ai is more likely to make plumbers obsolute than programmers. most software engs will be fired sure, good ones will be able to rise again
1
@jonasbaine3538 you didnt get the analogy at all... they arent complaining about having to pay for cheese, they are complainng there are people getting trapped, and now those people pay 500 dollars for the trap. it was bad free, its worse paid
