We desperately need Medicare for all. We need to push for it, it's a priority. It should be the first priority along with feeding people and housing them. There are political realities though and pushing in the wrong way will result in more delay. Not acknowledging that is an error. That doesn't mean that we should continue to accept the system as it is, we should change it. Not slowly, not incrementally but real change. However, this has to actually happen and screaming and cursing at people and pushing for things that won't happen will set us back further. No one wants to hear about political realities, but they exist. AOC is getting things done, she's pushing and accomplishing things and taking a tremendous amount of heat and ugliness while doing it. Attacking her is disgusting and yes, probably misogynistic also. Real change is harder and more complicated than a guy shouting curses at other people on zoom. Even through the frustration and the rage at how horrifically unfair and wrong the system is, getting things done requires navigating that system.

Is she wrong though? substantively, is she right or is she wrong? If she's right and you don't want her to bring it up because he was a friend, then that's wrong.

I don't understand what you mean. are you saying that they are engaging in character assassination with regard to Medicare for all? I didn't see that, and if I missed it please explain. It seemed to me that aren't against Medicare for all, they're for it. It is how Dore talks to people and how he interacts that seems to be the problem. When he sucks up the air as someone said, when he positions himself as representing the left while not caring about getting things done. The purity test that he can't pass himself. I'm open to understanding what you meant, I apologize if I misunderstood your comment.
